Small sack under the liver that holds bile
The pear-shaped organ found below the liver. Bile is concentrated and stored in the gallbladder.
A green pear-shaped organ located on the right side of the abdomen just under the liver. The gallbladder is essentially a reservoir for holding bile.
The gallbladder is a hollow, pear-shaped organ lying obliquely on the inferior surface of the liver. It functions as a reservoir for the bile produced by the liver. By the reabsorption of large quantities of water and mineral salts through its mucosal layer, it also serves to concentrate bile.
