If you cancel the contract within the first sixty (60) days of the contract term, you will receive a 100% refund, less any claims paid on the Contract. A cancellation fee will be charged, not to exceed 5% of the price you paid for the contract. If you cancel the contract after sixty (60) days, we will calculate a pro rata refund based upon the greater of the time in force or the miles driven compared to the total time or mileage of your contract term and will refund 90% of the unearned pro rata premium.

Residential Energy Code: State developed code that meets or exceeds 92 MEC, mandatory statewide. Commercial Energy Code: State developed code that meets or exceeds ASHRAE/IES 90.1, mandatory statewide. The state is revising the Florida energy efficiency code for implementation in OCTOBER 1997. PUBLIC HEARINGS WERE HELD IN APRIL, WHICH RESULTED IN MINOR CHANGES TO THE PROPOSED UPDATES. THE FLORIDA BOARD OF BUILDING CODES AND STANDARDS IS STILL IN THE PROCESS OF REVISING THE PROPOSAL BEFORE ITS ADOPTION. The state received FY96 funding to establish a Southern States Energy Board and to encourage market-driven energy efficient construction.

The Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will hold public hearings December 6 and 7 regarding the proposed Pine Channel "No Anchoring" area. The "No Anchoring" area was requested by Monroe County to keep masted vessels from coming into contact with power lines that cross the waterway. Becky Larson at bl@stateside.com

The stateâ€(tm)s Supreme Court ruled that routine court records could be posted online, reversing an earlier decision. A 15-member commission is scheduled to report to the court by July 2005 on an electronic-access policy.

In May 2000, Governor Bush issued an executive order creating a 17-member task force to study electric reliability and gas supply issues. The task force will conclude it's study with recommendations to the Governor in December 2001. In January 2001, the Florida Energy 20/20 Study Commission proposed a plan to restructure the wholesale electric market. To date, Florida has not enacted comprehensive legislation to unbundle electric rates.
