The Cadet is a junior trainer sailing dinghy designed by Jack Holt, who was commissioned to design it by the magazine Yachting World. The boat is crewed by 2 young people and sails with a bermuda rigged mainsail, jib and spinnaker. The side decks are designed so that a capsize normally does not fill the hull with water.
