The distribution of a statistic.
the distribution obtained by computing a statistic for a large number of samples drawn from the same population.
a distribution of A) study participants
a distribution of statistics
a theoretical distribution of the values that a specified statistic of a sample takes on in all of the possible samples of a specific size that can be made from a given population
A probability distribution representing an infinite number of sample distributions for a given sample size.
The sampling distribution describes probabilities associated with a statistic when a random sample is drawn from a population.
The sampling distribtion (also called the Distribution of Means and the Sampling Distribution of Means) is a theoretical distribution. If you were to draw an infinite number of samples with a particular sample size from a population you would get an infinite number of means (one for each sample you drew). The distribution of these means would be the sampling distribution for your population at that particular sample size. The shape of the sampling distribution changes with the size of the samples.
A probability distribution of all possible values of a sample statistic.
the distribution of frequencies with which various possible events could occur or a probability distribution defined by a particular mathematical expression
The frequency distribution of the statistic for many samples. It is used to make inferences about the statistic from a single sample.
A probability distribution for a statistic.
