link-state packet. See LSA.
Link State Packet. In OSI and OSPF, the LSP contains reachability information about systems and areas that the router knows about. This packet is flooded across the network to other routers to maintain the link state database on each router.
The path that will be followed by a labelled packet over several hubs.
label switch path and link-state packet.
Link State Protocol. Any routing protocol that recognizes speed, reliability and other functional characteristics of the communications link. (Novell)
Link State Protocol (Novell) M N O
Sequence of routers that cooperatively perform MPLS operations for a packet stream. The first router in an LSP is called the ingress router, and the last router in the path is called the egress router. An LSP is a point-to-point, half-duplex connection from the ingress router to the egress router. (The ingress and egress routers cannot be the same router.) See link-state PDU.
