The one in a power-exchange situation who "gives up" power to the dominator. In BDSM power and control are the same thing. Control = Power in the context of BDSM. A "bottom" is a generic term usually meaning the one whom things are being done to: the submissive, the masochist, the receiver, etc. The act of receiving; refers to submissives, slaves, masochists, etc.
