A number that is used internally by DB2 to uniquely identify a record in a table. It contains enough information to address the page in which the record is stored.

Row Identifier

Record identification.

The internal record identifier used to locate a given row in a table. It is composed of the page number and record id within the page.

Recorder ID, which is a 97-bit code recorded in the Q-channel of all CD-R and CD-RW discs when written to by CD-recorders. It comprises a brand name identifier, a type number and the drive serial number. The RID helps to prevent unauthorized copying by enabling the source of any recording to be identified.

Region identifier.

Relative Identifier. A component of the SID.

Router ID. An IP address used by a router to uniquely identify itself to a routing protocol. This address may or may not be equal to a configured interface address.
