Spread of scores in a distribution
The degree to which scores in a frequency distribution depart from the central value. See also central tendency, measure of central tendency, standard deviation (SD), variance (V).
The quality of being subject to change or deviation from a norm or standard.
The degree to which differences exist among a set of scores. The standard deviation is usually used to describe the variability of scores in a sample.
The tendency to vary or fluctuate around an average or expected value, or around a specific average pattern.
