Point attribute table or polygon attribute table. A coverage can have either a point attribute table or a polygon attribute table, but not both. In addition to user-defined attributes, a PAT contains data on area and perimeter of a polygon (values are 0 for points), an internal sequence number and feature identifier. The PAT is also used for regions. The same attributes are maintained, however, the name of the attribute table is PATREGION, where REGION is the name of the region for which attributes are stored. One polygon and many region attribute tables can be stored in the same coverage. See feature attribute table.
