A vertical column of the periodic table; a family of elements; also, A characteristic part of a molecule.
A substructure that imparts characteristic chemical behaviors to a molecule, for example, a carboxylic acid group. (also: functional group). A vertical column on the periodic table, for example, the halogens. Elements that belong to the same group usually show chemical similarities, although the element at the top of the group is usually atypical.
A vertical coulmn, or family, of elements in the periodic table.
Normally commanded by a colonel, in the U.S. Army a group is a command structure controlling several battalion sized elements and is subordinate to a brigade.
An element in the data source that can contain fields and other groups. Controls that contain other controls, such as repeating tables and sections, are bound to groups.
Each pixel of an image in client memory is represented by a group of one, two, three, or four elements. Thus, in the context of a client memory image, a group and a pixel are the same thing.
To gather similar data together, such as moving rows with the same value in a certain column next to each other
(1) An object that is composed of several other objects. (2) A data model object that determines the hierarchy of the data appearing in a report; used primarily for creating breaks in a report, as well as for resetting calculations. (3) To separate the rows in a query into sets, based on their values in one or more columns.
Two or more elements in edge contact which are maneuvered together as a line or column. In DBA (unlike DBM), elements do not need to be in both edge and corner to corner contact to form and move as a group.
In Reports Builder, a data model object that is created automatically to contain all the columns selected by a query, or created by the user to modify the hierarchy of the data appearing in a report; it is used primarily for creating breaks in a report, as well as for resetting computations. An object that is composed of several other objects.
columns on the periodic table that contain elements with similar chemical properties
two or more formations in a stratigraphic column which formed by similar events or processes.
A column of elements on the periodic table.
one of the 18 vertical columns of elements in the periodic table
A group of cmdsynopsis elements (see above).
A group, also known as a family, is a vertical column in the periodic table of the chemical elements. There are 18 groups in the standard periodic table.
Group is a term used by different air forces for an element of military organization. The size of a group varies considerably between different countries. The terms group and wing are used differently in different air forces, and this can cause confusion.
