system that is actually in place and functioning in the operations environment.
a collection of rules, each of which has two parts -- a pattern part and an action part
a good way of describing an incomplete system
a model of computation that provides pattern-directed search control using a set of production rules , a working memory , and a recognise-act cycle
a new in vitro transcription system designed to rapidly produce very high concentrations of RNA
a tool used in artificial intelligence and especially within the applied AI domain known as expert systems
The live R/3 System used for normal operations. Also termed "productive system" or "delivery system".
A production system is fundamentally an administrative domain for computer operation where the machines are used in the principal activity, i.e. research, education and administration. In this sense, systems that students use for their own education are also counted as production. A system in itself for testing computer systems, however, does not count as a production system.
knowledge representation formalism consisting of collections of condition-action rules (called production rules), a database which is modified in accordance with the rules, and a production system interpreter which controls the operation of the rules. See also Conflict Resolution Strategy.
The live SAP System used for normal operations. Also termed "productive system" or "delivery system". Usually the third system in a three-system implementation landscape.
A problem-solving system using a rule-based architecture consisting of a knowledge base of rules and general facts, a working memory of facts concerning the current case, and an inference engine for manipulating both. It is a type of expert system or knowledge-based system.
A production system (or production rule system) is a computer program typically used to provide some form of artificial intelligence, which consists primarily of a set of rules about behavior. These rules, termed productions, are a basic representation found useful in AI planning, expert systems and action selection. A production system provides the mechanism necessary to execute productions in order to achieve some goal for the system.
