Rose is an episode in the British science-fiction television series Doctor Who that was first broadcast on March 26, 2005. This story marked the debut of Christopher Eccleston as the Ninth Doctor and Billie Piper as his companion, Rose Tyler. It is the first episode of the 2005 series and was the first new television episode of Doctor Who to be produced since the American-made Doctor Who television movie in 1996.
