American Girl is a 2002 American movie about a teenage girl, Rena living with her mother, half sister Barbie, and her (secretly gay?) brother, Jay in a trailer park while their father serves time in prison. Rena decides it is time to meet her father after years of estrangment upon discovering she is pregnant. Her family decides to go to an inmate picnic to see him where his true nature along with some other secrets surface over the day long trip.
