Sean Murphy (born June 29, 1984 in Fort Lauderdale, FL) is a current part-time competitor in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. He runs the #07 Green Light Racing Chevy in select races.

A fair and honest officer, Murphy is handpicked by Tim Mc Manus to act as the head CO of Emerald City as he and McManus are lifelong friends. Throughout the series, he is highly regarded by both McManus and Warden Glynn as he displays honesty, integrity, a lack of bias, and a belief in justice much more than the rest of the Correctional Staff.

His comic book work includes the miniseries Batman/Scarecrow: Year One with writer Bruce Jones for DC Comics and the graphic novel Off Road for Oni Press. Upcoming projects include the four issue miniseries Outer Orbit at Dark Horse Comics, two issues of Teen Titans for DC Comics and a creator-owned project called Kael which takes place in Ireland during the early 80s at the height of IRA terrorism.

Sean Murphy is a cryptographer, currently a professor at Royal Holloway, University of London. He worked on the NESSIE and ECRYPT projects. His notable research includes the cryptanalysis of FEAL and the Advanced Encryption Standard, and the use of stochastic and statistical techniques in cryptology.
