John Nathan Henderson (born January 9, 1979, Nashville, Tennessee) is an American Football player who currently plays Defensive Tackle for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the NFL. He recently signed a 6-year contract extension to stay put in Jacksonville. He was selected to the Pro Bowl following the 2004 season.

Born in Cumberland County, New Jersey, he later emigrated to Mississippi, where he practiced law in Woodville. In 1835, he was elected to the State Senate, and was later elected to the United States Senate as a Whig, serving one full term.
