Shorthand for Medicare Part D, the Medicare prescription drug program
Optional Medicare Prescription Drug Plan that provides prescription drug coverage through private companies and organizations. You may choose any of the Medicare-approved drug plans (or Medicare Advantage HMO, PPO or PFFS plans) that offer drug coverage in your area
Medicare Part D, under the Social Security Act, provides a voluntary prescription drug benefit. In general, Medicare Part A covers hospital services, Part B covers physician services, and Part C covers comprehensive managed care program.
