An active or passive device used in an electronic system. Less frequently, a "part" may refer to other members of an electronic system such as a printed circuit board. Synonomous with "component" and "device."

Component  A Term used to refer to many different things. For example, an Item that can be bought in or made. A Part is not an Item of Equipment.
