A subgroup of network users that can be its own entity; any member of the subgroup can only communicate with other members of that subgroup.

This service enables users to be part of a group in which the members (i.e. employees of the same company) can place calls to each other but not to members outside of the group. Users may be a member of multiple groups. It is applicable to all services except emergency calling.

A closed user group permits users belonging to a group to communicate with each other, but precludes communications with other users who are not members of the group.
