Wireless Wide Area Network. WWAN is a wireless WAN which typically uses CDMA, GPRS and other cell phone technology radios.
Wireless Wide Area Network. WWAN uses various devices—telephone lines, satellite dishes, and radio waves—to service an area broader than can be covered by a WLAN, although typically with lower bandwidth.
Wireless Wide Area Network. A radio-based voice or data network that covers an entire metropolitan area. In contrast, a WLAN is generally confined to a building or campus, such as a Wi-Fi Hot Spot. See also WLAN, Wi-Fi and Hot Spot.
