A drainage basin's total yield of liquid water during some period of time.
The runoff from a watershed, including flow from streams and ground water.
The runoff from the drainage basin, including ground-water outflow that appears in the stream plus ground-water outflow that bypasses the gaging station and leaves the basin underground. Water yield is the precipitation minus the evpotranspiration.
The amount of water flowing through a river during a given time period divided by the watershed area, expressed as inches of water.
