Definitions for "VRC"
Vertical redundancy check. A check or parity bit added to each character in a message so that the number of bits in each character, including the parity bit, is odd (odd parity) or even (even parity). Compare with: block character check, cyclic redundancy check, and longitudinal redundancy check. See also: parity and parity check.
