Trade weighted index. A summary measure of the value of the New Zealand dollar calculated from the exchange rate with each of our five major trading partners.
Trade weighted index. A measure of movements in the New Zealand dollar against the currencies of our major trading partners. The currencies comprise the US dollar, the Australian dollar, the Japanese yen, the euro and the UK pound.
Trade-weighted index. The TWI is the weighted average value of the Australian dollar in relation to the currencies of Australia's trading partners. The base level was set at 100 in May 1970. It is published each day, specifying index levels as at 9.00 am, noon and 4.00 pm.

Twi (pronounced 'twee' ) specifically Ashanti Twi is a language spoken in Ghana by about 7 million people. It is one of the three dialects of the Akan language, the others being Akuapem Twi and Fante Twi, which in turn belongs to the Kwa language family. Within Ghana, Twi is spoken in the Ashanti Region and in parts of the Eastern, Western, Central, Volta and Brong Ahafo Regions.
