Definitions for "Transconductance"
Ratio of output current variation to the input voltage variation
Transconductance is a ratio of the change in plate current to a change in grid voltage with the plate voltage held constant. Transconductance (gm) is usually expressed in micromhos or millimhos.
The ratio of the incremental change in the output current of any amplifying circuit or device to the incremental change of input voltage causing it, when the output voltage is held constant.
