Ticlopidine (trade name Ticlid) is an antiplatelet drug in the thienopyridine family. Like clopidogrel, it is an adenosine diphosphate (ADP) receptor inhibitor. It is used in patients in whom aspirin is not tolerated, or in whom dual antiplatelet therapy is desirable.
