SWV, also known as Sisters With Voices, is an American female R&B trio from New York that formed as three school friends in 1990: Cheryl "Coko" Gamble-Clemons (born June 13, 1974), Tamara "Taj" Johnson-George (born April 1974), and Leanne "Lelee" Lyons (born July 17, 1973). They were a hugely successful group of the 1990's, dominating the R&B charts with a slewful of hits.
