Sunnat or Mustahab means recommendable, desirable. The acts whose neglect is not punished, but whose performance is rewarded, e.g., the call for prayers (adhan).

Custom or practice; particularly that associated with the prophets or with the exemplary life of the Prophet Muhammad (SAWS), comprising his deeds and utterances as recorded in the hadees . It is also a prayer offered together with every mandatory prayer.
