Stromberg or Oy Strömberg Ab, was a company founded by Gottfrid Strömberg in 1889 in Helsinki, Finland and manufactured electromechanical products such as: generators, electric motors and small power plants. The company was founded initially as Gottfrid Strömbergin sähköyhtiö in Finnish, Gottfrid Strömbergs elföretag in Swedish. Strömberg was acquired by Swedish ASEA in 1987, and when Asea merged with AG Brown Boveri & Cie to form ABB in 1988 the company became part of the ABB corporation and hence known as ABB Strömberg.
Stromberg is a German television series which is produced by Brainpool and broadcast on the commercial television channel Pro Sieben. Initially the producers claimed it was based on a character from a past ProSieben comedy clip, in spite of many elements resembling the BBC series The Office. Only after BBC threatened with legal action, credit was given to the creators of The Office, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.
Stromberg is a town and a municipality in the district of Bad Kreuznach, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated on the eastern edge of the Hunsrück, approx. 10 km west of Bingen.
