Soulfly is a heavy metal band started by Max Cavalera in 1997 after his decision to leave Sepultura. The band, which incorporates elements of thrash metal, nu-metal, and Brazilian tribal beats, has released five albums so far; Soulfly, Primitive, 3, Prophecy, and Dark Ages.
Soulfly is the first LP by metal band Soulfly released in 1998 (1998 in music) through Roadrunner Records. The record was released in memory of Max's son in law who was murdered. Both CDs have the message "In Loving Memory Dana" printed across them.
