Silkworm is a scrolling shooter first released in the arcade in 1988. It was later ported to the NES, Amiga, Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum systems. The player can control a jeep or a helicopter, while two players can working cooperatively against enemies.
Silkworm was a computer game released for multiple systems in 1989. A port of an arcade game of the same name, the game puts you in control of a jeep that fires a cannon and missiles at assorted targets from a side scrolling perspective. In a similar vein to such war-themed vehicle based shooters as Tiger Heli, Silk Worm had interesting graphics and relatively fast-paced gameplay thanks to the nimble player controlled jeep that could travel freely on a two-dimensional level viewed from a top-down perspective.
