Shiners coat the hair shaft with a reflective substance and help to combat the frizzies. Sprays, serums, or light gels, they "calm" the hair and maximize luster. Apply to palms, rub hands together, use fingers to distribute evenly through wet or dry hair.
Light reflected from intact cell walls, noticeable on the cut surfaces of flexible polyurethane foam. A large number of shiners, or shiny spots, indicates a foam with many closed cells.
Where too much product to sprayed in the same area and causes a shiny texture. Caused by either too wet a mixture, or too long in the same spot. Try to avoid all shiners.
