Definitions for "SECV"
During calibration with methods of multivariant regression (PCR, PLS, MPLS), a cross-validation is carried out. In this situation, in each case a part of the samples (between 10 and 50\% depending on the size of the sample set -- 10\% at n=30, 50\% at n=200) is estimated from a calibration on the basis of the remaining samples. The cross-validation is carried out in order to identify and prevent an overfitting (see SEC) which may be being expressed in a repeat rise of the SECV. mit i = 1 ... n cross-validation samples
