Shugart Associates Standard Interface. An interface designed by Shugart Assoc. in 1980. It was the predecessor of SCSI.
The name of the original inventory "Salmon and Steelhead Stock Inventory" (SASSI) has been changed to "Salmonid Stock Inventory" (SaSI) to reflect the broadened inventory scope encompassing all wild salmonids.
