Reactivity Adjustment Factor. An NMOG adjustment used in the certification of vehicles to the California emission standards to reflect reduced ozone forming potential of a fuel, especially alternative fuels.
Risk adjustment factor. A factor that scales the basic N-1 risk up or down to correct for the differences between the reserve risk calculated by SPD and the risk calculated by RMT. Since the end of 2003 the RAF s have all been one and the adjustments are now made using risk offset values.
Road Accident Fund. A public fund that pays compensation to people who have been injured or killed in motor vehicle accidents.
