Currently the industry standard solution for layout design in the PC or MAC environment, this is our preferred method of receiving art files.
An electronic publishing software program. This is the program that the majority of larger newspaper publishers use from layout design to production tasks for their newspaper. AccuWeather has chosen this to be its weather page layout program. It has great advantage over its competitors in many facets such as its extended list of creative features, color mangement capabilities, workflow( automation), etc. It is much more expensive than its main competitor, Adobe PageMaker. It was originally designed to work with the Macintosh/Graphic environment excusively. QuarkXpress now is offered to PC users, but there are cross-platform problems that still are being addressed by both QuarkXpress and Adobe.
