QBasic stands for "Quick Beginners All-Purpose Symbolic Instruction code". It's easy to learn and use, but is very much out-dated.
An interpreter for the BASIC programming language provided by Microsoft with the DOS and Windows 95 operating systems. The QBASIC interpreter supports many of the more sophisticated features of the BASIC language and replaces GW-BASIC.
QBasic (a name derived from Quick BASIC, BASIC being an acronym for Beginner's All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code) is a variant of the BASIC programming language. The source code is compiled to an intermediate form within the integrated development environment (IDE), and this intermediate form is immediately interpreted on demand within the IDE.
