Refers to a Teflon® thread that is used for sewing filtration devices.
A fibre made from a synthetic linear polymer in which the chief repeating unit is --CF2—CF2--. (See also fluorofibre.)
Polytetraflouroethylene. Highly durable and resistant to a broad range of temperatures and chemicals. Used to form a heat-bonded, expanded membrane on filter media to provide high efficiency among other properties. PTFE is hydrophobic.
