Fees paid from a decedentâ€(tm)s estate to an attorney during probate. In some states there are statutory fee schedules while in other states the fees may either be charged on a flat fee basis or by the hour.
The fee charged by the probate court for approving the validity of a will. The fee varies from province to province. Alberta is the cheapest while British Columbia and Ontario charge the most. Typically about 1% of the gross value of the estate.
Legal, executor, and appraisal fees and court costs when an estate goes through probate. Probate fees are paid from assets in the estate before the assets are fully distributed to the heirs.
