a test of the interaction of sperm and cervical mucus. The post-coital test is performed by examining the cervical mucus under a microscope following sexual intercourse.
This test evaluates the interaction between the sperm and the mucus produced by the woman's cervix. This test is performed at a time near ovulation. Sperm must get through the cervical mucus to reach the uterus. The cervical mucus can sometimes be a cause of fertility problems.
a test done around the time of ovulation
A diagnostic test which allows observation of semen/mucus interaction. A sample of mucus is taken from the woman's cervix just before ovulation time, 6-12 hours following sexual intercourse.
Test in which cervical secretions are obtained following intercourse and analyzed under a microscope to discern problems with the interaction of sperm and cervical mucus.
the microscopic analysis of a sample of vaginal and cervical secretions that has been collected soon after sexual intercourse or insemination.
A test to determine whether the sperm can move properly through the cervical mucus
A fertility test conducted to see whether the man's sperm can survive in the woman's cervical mucus. A sample of the mucus is taken within two hours of intercourse and viewed under a microscope to ascertain whether the sperm can swim forward in the mucus.
microscopic examination of a woman's cervical mucus at the fertile time of the cycle to determine the number and motility of sperm following intercourse
A test that is done in the doctor's office 8-12 hours after intercourse on the day of ovulation. During this test, the doctor removes a small amount of cervical mucus (the fluid at the opening of the cervix) and examines it under the microscope. The test shows the quality of the cervical mucus and reveals if the partner's sperm are able to progress through the cervical mucus.
