Major band, initally very visual, Pierrot were formed in 1994, by Hidelow, Kirito, Jun, Kohta and Luka. Some time after their first album release, Hidelow and Luka decided to leave the band. Kirito, the lead guitarist, then became their vocalist and Aiji and Takeo joined the formation. They became major in 1998, when signing to Toshiba EMI. The band ceased their activities when Kirito decided to go solo. [ official site

Pierrot is a short poem written by the African American author Langston Hughes. It was first published in the anthology The Weary Blues in 1926. In 30 lines, it describes contrasts the characters of Simple John, who adheres to an ethic of hard work and traditional virtues, and Pierrot, who leads a Dionysian and carefree life.
