Paul Collins is an American musician. He was the drummer (and sometime singer & songwriter) in seminal Los Angeles power pop trio The Nerves, one of the first LA pop groups, alongside Jack Lee and future Plimsouls frontman Peter Case. The band are best remembered for "Hanging on the Telephone", a song later made famous by Blondie.

Paul Collins (born 1969, Pennsylvania) is an American writer best known for his work with Mc Sweeney's and The Believer, as editor of the Collins Library imprint for McSweeney's Books, and for his appearances on National Public Radio's Weekend Edition Saturday with Scott Simon. His own books deal primarily with quirky forgotten figures from history, sometimes interwoven with memoir. Collins is also the parent of an autistic child and is known for his writings on the subject of autism.
