Padmasambhava (also Padmakara or Padma Raja) (Ch: è“®è¯ç”Ÿä¸Šå¸«, Pinyin: Lian Hua Sheng Shang Shi; Tib: Pema Jungne, Wylie: padma 'byung gnas), in Sanskrit meaning "lotus-born", is said to have brought Tantric Buddhism to Tibet in the 8th century.
