Nordwestmecklenburg (Northwestern Mecklenburg) is a Kreis (district) in the north-western part of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. It is situated on the coast of the Baltic Sea and border on Schleswig-Holstein. Neighboring districts are (from east clockwise) Bad Doberan, Güstrow, Parchim, the district-free city Schwerin, the district Ludwigslust, and the district Lauenburg and the district-free city Lübeck in Schleswig-Holstein.
