Definitions for "NG TUBE"
(NASO-GASTRIC) A way of feeding a resident who is unable to eat or has difficulty swallowing by delivering nourishment through a tube inserted into the stomach via the nose.
A tube passed down through the nostril. It goes down into the stomach, and in this case is used to remove excess bile and fluid from the stomach to reduce it.
(nasogastric tube) – a think tube that is passed into the nose or mouth and into the stomach, usually to draw out fluids from stomach or to supply nutrients to those who can't swallow.
