Akhenaten's chief wife. Gained a special prominence rarely given to any queen in the Egyptian history. She was depicted as the king's equal while worshipping the Aten, and took part in all his activities. Famous for her exceptional beauty, personified in the bust now in Berlin.
Nefertiti is an album recorded in June and July 1967 by the second Miles Davis quintet and is the group's last fully acoustic album. Davis himself does not contribute anything in the way of compositions. The album is best known for the unusual title track, on which the horn section repeats the melody numerous times without individual solos while the rhythm section improvises underneath, reversing the traditional role of rhythm section.
