Nala (Sanskrit: नल) is a character in Hindu mythology. He was the husband of Damayanti and their story is told in the Mahabharata.

Nala is a fictional lioness character who first appeared in Disney's popular 1994 animated feature film The Lion King. As a cub she was voiced by Niketa Calame and as an adult she was voiced by Moira Kelly. Laura Williams and Sally Dworsky provided her singing voice as a cub and adult respectively.

The 50th year in the cycle of 60 Samvatsara (q.v.). It is ruled by Rudra. A person born during the year is surrounded by offsprings, relatives and friends. He is greedy, quarrelsome, and afflicted with sorrow and deprivations.
