Moxy is a Canadian hard rock band, formed in Toronto, Canada in 1974, from previous members of Leigh Ashford — including singer Buzz Shearman, drummer Bill Wade, Terry Juric on bass, and Earl Johnson as lead guitarist. In 1975, Buddy Caine joined the band as rhythm guitarist.
Moxy, also informally known as The Black Album or Moxy I, is the self titled debut album by the Canadian Hard rock and Heavy Metal band Moxy. Their independently produced album was originally released in 1975 by Polydor in Canada, then under Mercury Records label was reissued in 1976 for worldwide distribution.
Moxy is the pseudonym of songwriter / vocalist / guitarist Jeanette Keim, as well as being the name used by her band.
