Definitions for "Morinda"
A genus of rubiaceous trees and shrubs, mostly East Indian, many species of which yield valuable red and yellow dyes. The wood is hard and beautiful, and used for gunstocks.

The genus Morinda comprises approximatively 80 species, distributed in all tropical regions of the world. These species may be trees, shrubs or vines; some, like Morinda citrifolia, are trees that very much resemble vines.
