Definitions for "Moldings"
Shaped strips of ornamental wood used around doors and windows. Also used for base molding, tile molding, as chair rails, and for exterior area molding.
Strips of materials which are designed to complete the edges of a laminate flooring installtion, provide transitions from one room to another, or to serve as a transition from a room to the top of a set of stairs. Baseboards, T-Moldings, and Stairnoses are popular varieties of molding.
Accessory items that are used to enhance the appearance and performance of Hartco floors. Six different moldings are available: reducer strip, threshold, quarter round, stair nosing,combination base and shoe and T-Molding. Rough sawn timber processed in some way, for example, sanded, planed and/or shaped. After the government placed a 200 percent levy on the export of rough sawn timber in 1991, sawmills found it impossible to export that commodity, so many went "downstream" into the mouldings export business.
