a surgical procedure in which immature sperm are taken directly from the epididymis for use in ART.
Microsurgical technique used to retrieve sperm directly from the epididymis (long coiled tube where sperm mature and are stored) for further fertilization through intracytoplasmic sperm iniection (ICSI). MESA is used in cases of azoospermia (when no sperm is found in the ejaculate).
