A paper surface design made by embossing the paper with a linen cloth pattern.
A linen finish is a textured effect producied by embossing a web of paper with a certain patterned steel roll, as a finish this effect is produced in a separate operation than the general printing process.
Paper in which the fibers form a linen, or woven, pattern. (Not to be confused with wove paper, which has a smoother appearance.)
